Augustana Air Hockey TournamentOk, since nobody was doing this yet, and I'm addicted to air hockey, I figured I'd start up an air hockey tournament. The date for this event will be Sunday, November 2nd, 2003. It will start at 2:00PM Games will be every 10 minutes [hopefully]. We'll be having this in the Pepsi Co. Rec Center. If you're interested, e-mail brad@musatcha.com, and I'll put you on the bracket. Also please note that this is not an official Augustana Intramural event, so please do not contact them with questions. If you have any questions, scheduling conflicts, or anything else, e-mail me at brad@musatcha.com, and I'll get back to you within a couple hours. RulesAll the basic common sense rules of air hockey apply. We'll play to 15 points, the winner has to win by 2. For instance, if the game is tied 14 to 14, and somebody scores a goal, that person has to score yet another goal to win. Each goal counts for 1 point. This is a double elimination tournament. If you touch the puck with your hand, then possession of the puck goes to the other player. You cannot walk past the center line around the table. The puck cannot be stopped by slamming the mallet on top of it, unless the puck is airborne. If there is a ref watching the game, anything he or she says goes.
